Ashes in Winter - Finally Light at the End of the Tunnel!

Ashes in Winter, as of today, finally rests in the hands of the first of the alpha readers. This means that the draft has finally been completely and totally rewritten and is close to heading through the rest of the editing stages.

The hardest, and longest, part of it is over.

While there are still a few stages of revisions and edits, these are just edits.

The manuscript, however, is now complete.

In other news, I have also started work on the scene by scene outline of what used to be the back half of After Oil, which is now called A Season of Wolves.

Yes, that does mean I have two major projects on the go (Karasa has, once again, been put on the back burner).

It also means we're back on track to get things moving again.

I look forward to finally putting a complete book in people's hands and so far, I am really pleased with how it all turned out. It's finally the book I wanted. It feels complete. It feels like the book it was meant to be seven years ago.

I'm thrilled with it.

I really am.
