Ashes in Winter: Update #3

It's the final countdown!

At long last, it's done.

If you've been following the series on how I outline and draft a novel (the first post of that series can be found here), then you know exactly what I've re-done with Ashes in Winter.

But I covered that in this post here.

Kristan, When Is This Available?

That's the fantastic part about it being finally ready. We have dates to share. In fact, if you've been looking around the site, you'll notice the link for the preorder is finally live and leads to a universal link where you can choose your retailer to buy it right now.

Preorder: April 15th, 2021

Full Release: May 28th, 2021

(Seven years to the day when it was first released in 2014 at Anime North!)

You can find that universal link here and check it out. Last I checked, they hadn't quite added the hardcover to retailers yet, but that should be showing up soon.

If you would like a preview before committing to buying, you can find that here but the catch is you'll probably have to sign up for my newsletter if you haven't already. Don't worry, I'm not exactly a frequent sender of any mail, so you won't see very many emails. Maybe once a month at most, perhaps even only quarterly.

Are You Planning on Producing an Audiobook?

I'm glad you asked that. Yes, I am. In fact, the narrator is currently working on it but he's very busy outside of narrating this one book (he's done other stuff, and I would love to introduce him but I think I'll hold onto that little secret a while longer... it's worth the wait, I promise!)

To save having a narrator do the books twice, we wanted to make sure the editing and reboot were completed so he had the best material to work with.

When Is A Season of Wolves Coming Out?

I'm not 100% sure of that. I can tell you the draft is done and it's being edited. I'm hoping it will be ready for the summer, but I can't guarantee that. I'm also a little leery of promising a date only to have to delay it as we did with Ashes in Winter.

Anyway, that's my update for the week.
